Welcome
Welcome back to another school year at Holy Spirit! A warm and special welcome is extended to those students and families whom are new to the Holy Spirit community. I hope that you all had a restful and exciting summer! I am excited for this year and know that we will have a number of opportunities to work together to help each students reach and surpass their individual academic goals. Please read on to learn about some of our classroom routines.
This website will serve as a means to keep both parents and students informed about events happening in the classroom and school.

General Information
Homework
As in past years, homework continues to be an important part of your child’s education, and will take on many forms. Homework should be completed neatly and returned to school the next day or by a set deadline. The regular completion of homework is imperative to your child’s success in the classroom. Please encourage your child to complete homework to the best of his/her ability. Any incomplete homework will be recorded and will be highlighted in the agenda. On days where no homework is assigned it is expected that students review lessons and notebooks. Indoor Shoes Students are required to have a pair of non-marking indoor shoes. It is best if these shoes be running shoes, which would allow them to also serve as gym shoes. Due to limited space in the classroom, I ask that only one pair of indoor shoes be kept at school. Indoor/gym shoes help to ensure cleanliness in the classroom and allow for safe participation in gym class. |
Agendas
Each intermediate student is expected to make an effort to stay organized on a daily basis. The agenda is an excellent tool that should be used to help with being successful this school year. Not only does the agenda serve as an organizational tool for students, it also serves as a means of communication between home and school. Please feel free to use the agenda as a mode of communication with me. I check the agendas daily, and will respond to comments or questions as promptly as possible. Please also look in your child’s agenda for any notes that I may leave for you. Physical Education This year, our class will have Phys. Ed class on Tuesdays and Fridays. Intermediate students are required to change into separate clothes for Physical Education. Students are also required to ensure that they have running shoes in order to safely participate in gym. |
